How Much Does a Website Cost in Thailand in 2026? A Clear Price Guide

"How much does a website cost?" is the first question almost every business owner asks us, and the honest answer used to be "it depends". That is true, but it is not helpful. So in this guide we put real numbers on the table: what drives the price, what the different options give you, what you pay every year after launch, and exactly what our own websites cost.
The short answer
A professional business website in Thailand is a one-off build price plus a yearly running cost. At We Do Dev Work, a complete website of up to 5 pages in Thai and English costs ฿29,995, and a larger website of up to 10 pages with a section for your industry costs ฿49,995. Hosting, security and updates are ฿1,990 a month. All prices exclude VAT.
Other providers will quote you more or less than that. What matters is what is included, who does the work, and what you pay after the launch. The rest of this guide helps you compare.
What drives the price of a website
Two websites can look alike and differ ten times in price. These are the things that really move the number:
- Number of pages and templates. Five pages that share one design are quick. Twenty pages with different layouts are not.
- Languages. Every extra language means more pages to build and check. In Thailand, Thai and English is the norm for most businesses.
- Functionality. Online booking, a webshop, property listings with search, or a members' area add real development time.
- Design. Starting from a tested design for your industry is faster and cheaper than designing every page from scratch.
- Content. Who writes the texts and supplies the photos? If you do, the price stays lower. Copywriting is extra work, and should be priced as such.
- A CMS. A content management system lets you change texts and photos yourself. Without one, every small change becomes a paid request.
- SEO. Basic SEO (clean page titles, fast mobile pages, a sitemap) should always be included. Keyword research and structured data are a separate, larger job.
Your options compared
There are roughly three ways to get a website. None is wrong; they fit different situations.
| Option | Upfront cost | Who does the work | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIY website builder | Low: a monthly subscription | You | Your time, a template look, and moving away later is hard |
| Freelancer | Low to medium | One person | Availability after launch, hosting and security often left to you |
| Agency with a fixed package | Medium, fixed and known upfront | A team: design, development, launch | What exactly is in the package, and what the monthly care costs |
| Agency, fully custom | High | A team, with workshops and custom design | Long timelines; only worth it when you need something unique |

The yearly costs nobody quotes
The build price is only half of the story. A website has running costs, and a cheap quote often leaves them out:
- Domain name: a small yearly fee, registered in your name.
- Hosting and SSL: the server your website runs on, and the padlock in the browser.
- Backups and updates: without them, one bad update or hack can take your site offline.
- Monitoring: someone who notices when the site is down before your customers do.
- Content changes: with a CMS you do most of them yourself; bigger changes are work for a developer.
Ask every provider what happens after launch, and what it costs per year. Add that to the build price before you compare quotes.
How to compare quotes
Put the quotes side by side and check these points:
- Is the price fixed, or an estimate that can grow?
- How many pages and languages are included?
- Can you edit the website yourself (CMS)?
- How many revision rounds are included?
- Who owns the domain, the code and the designs?
- What do hosting, security and updates cost per year?
- When will the website be live?
- What happens if you are not happy with the result?
A quote that cannot answer these questions clearly is not cheaper. It just hides the cost somewhere else.
Which option fits you?
If you only need a simple page and have time to build it, a website builder is fine. If you want a professional website in your brand without the weeks of meetings, a fixed package is usually the best value: you know the price, the scope and the date upfront. And if your business needs something truly unique, such as a platform or an app, a custom project is the right call. We do those too, but we will tell you honestly when you don't need one.
